Default Japanese cars are going down

Nowadays, Japanese cars are losing their fame and popularity.
What is the reason.

First, Korean cars are rising.
Second, European cars are being more and more reliable.
Third, American cars are reviving.

yes and I have remember lusting over the first generation Lexus IS and the 350Z when I was back in highschool and the Infiniti G35 had a design that was sexier than any of its german rivals, and don't get me started on older cars like the Supra and the original NSX.
