Why do electronics cost so much in Colombia? Does importing cost less, or will they lower prices?

I heard Colombia would eventually join some International group that might allow prices to be more normal, or at least take off high taxes on certain things, but I don't know any details on that.

It's call the Free Trade Agreement between the USA and Colombia. Read below. Importing electronics and other products costs a lot of money, that's why everything is so expensive. You might want to consider having a relative in the USA send you electronics until the FTA goes through. i think it's going to take another few months though.

Colombia has a lot of different types of taxes and one of them is import tax. For that reason, the electronics are expensive, even the imitation ones you get from Unilago, Bogota, are expensive. As the previous post stated, get someone to send you those stuff from the US but make sure you consider a couple of things. Do not send more than 2 units of the same item or you will be considered a dealer and be imposed a tax and make sure you use a reputable courier service as the postal service in Colombia is kind of unreliable. Yes, the agreement called the Free Trade agreement or the short form is TLC. Talks have been going on for ages. The last I heard of it. Who knows how long more it's going to take.

I have already logged in using the Administrator account. After this is in fact not changed and asks me if I want to restart or exit without restart . I do not know what gives the error.
