Default What are the differences between Chinese, Japanese and Korean cultures?

Chinese culture is from China.


Japanese culture is from Japan.


Korean culture is from Korea.

These cultures are totally different from each other in the same way as European cultrues are different from each other. Infact in China alone, there are 52 (I think) government recognised ethnic groups, each with their own culture, and many with toatall different languages which are not mutually-intelligible (think Cantonese and Mandarin). it is easier to understand the different cultures of China if you compare it to the European Union and its different cultures. Korea and Japan also have many different ethnic groups within the country. Japan is made of many islands, and many of them have different cultures and languages. Okinawa and mainland Japan are totally different from each other.

It is harder to differentiate the cultures of East Asia, as we are not constantly exposed to these cultures and were not as heavily influenced by these cultures, as we were by the european cultures(I'm mainly talking about countries heavily influenced by Europe)

languages: Chinese is completely different from Japanese and Korean, they put verbs on behind of the sentence, though they use Chinese character.

Culture: Japanese culture is what China was like 1300 years ago, don't know about korean.

religion: all believe in mahayana Buddhism, Taoism is local in Chinese, Shinto is local in Japan and Shamanism is local in Korea.

Architecture: similar.

Food: Chinese like hot food, Japanese prefer raw and Korean like cold and smelly.

If you really want to see the difference between all those culture, just go to those different country and you'll see.
