Default what does CIF, FOB, and ADV mean in shipping terms?

Not sure about CIF & ADV, but I'm sure that FOB means Freight-On-Board.

FOB is used by the seller to express the fact that all freight is to be paid by the buyer from the point of sale to the recieving point. It's actually a very old British term.
