I think it is because we have little to no European experience. In an interview, Hugo Sanchez said Brazil has about 800 exported players in other world leagues right now besides the Brazilian league, and Argentina has about 500 exported players outside the Argentinian league. Is our failure to succeed in the world' s biggest stages due to the fact that we only have 5 or 6 players playing in Europe, and why doesn't the Mexican League facilitate more Mexican exports to Europe?

its a mind game. in my opinion the USA, and Mexico, have the same mindset when they play these big teams like Brazil, or Argentina, people think that they are the underdogs, so the players start having this menatality that they will lose. if the players went into the game thinking they are better and can win it then the results would be different. my team Spain, has a problem with thinking they are underachievers.

they should continue to home grown their players & possibly get 2 or 3 players to play in South America.South America is the best continent for soccer. it blows Europe away.

Believe it or not, we are progressively getting better. The key to have international success is not necessarily to play abroad but to grow the level of soccer within the country for players at a young age. Just look at the U-20 world cup, two of the best teams are US and Mexico. Coincidence? I think not. The kids playing in these leagues have little or no international experience yet are playing at an "international" level.
