Default Where to recycle fluorescent tube?

Is there somewhere in Metro Vancouver that I take spent fluorescent tubing to be recycled? I tried Rona but they only take CFL's and the guy said that there isn't anywhere they can be recycled. He said Rona themselves just throws them in the trash.I find it hard to believe that no one recycles these. I mean, fluorescent tubing has been around longer then CFL's. Please tell me there's somewhere I can cause I hate the thought of just throwing them out. Thanks!

Fluorescent tubes are frequently found in office buildings, garages and many kitchens. They’re efficient and pretty universal for use and installation, but they can also be cumbersome to transport for proper recycling and disposal. Tubes contain a small amount of mercury, but generally, proper handling mitigates any real danger.
