![]() While China is a Buddhist country (in theory), I think it is difficult to find actual practicing vegetarians among the common people. When I have talked about "vegetarianism" with Chinese, they mostly reference it as a diet of monks and "older women."

![]() It depends on where you go. If you go to the high mountains like Inner Mongolia, you'd have a tough time. On the flip side, many poor rural areas you can't survive if you are NOT a vegetarian. All you got is rice and vegetables in some places.
